Our YouTube promotion campaigns run through YouTube advertising, which means your video must be eligible for ad approval before we can launch. If a video is restricted or not approved for ads, the campaign cannot proceed and you will receive a full refund.
YouTube generally requires videos to be advertiser friendly. Common reasons a video may be restricted include:
- Excessive profanity
- Nudity or sexually suggestive content
- Visible drugs or marijuana
- Alcohol bottles with recognizable brands that lack clearance
- Other racy or inappropriate material

Worldwide Campaigns vs Location Targeted Campaigns
Our standard YouTube campaigns do target. We target by age group, similar artists, keywords, and hashtags. What our standard campaigns do not include is specific location targeting. All standard campaigns run as worldwide reach.
If an artist is looking to target specific locations, such as certain countries, cities, or regions, that is a different type of setup and it changes how the campaign is built. Here is what location targeting requires:
- The video must be set to unlisted. This is required so we can set the video up inside the ad platform, submit it for ad approval, and build the location targeting properly.
- You must send us the video and tell us the exact locations you want. Once we have the video and your target locations, we can review it and give you a specific, accurate quote for that campaign.
- Location targeting increases the cost. This is the same across any advertising platform. Narrowing a campaign to specific locations always raises the cost, so a location targeted campaign will be priced differently than a worldwide campaign.
It is important that every artist understands the difference before we launch. Within the same budget, a worldwide campaign and a location targeted campaign will not deliver the same amount of views. Worldwide reaches far more people, and location targeting reaches fewer people at a higher cost per view.
