Beware of Scammers Posing as VM Agency

*WE DO NOT USE TELEGRAM OR WHATSAPP

It has come to our attention that a group of individuals are stealing our logo and likeness, pretending to be the VM Agency also known as ViewManiac.com, and scamming people in our name. These scammers are scraping phone numbers, emails, and information from job websites like Indeed.com to take advantage of good people simply looking for work. They reach out via WhatsApp, pretending to be our company, and lure you with enticing job offers. It's a popular recruitment scam happening to many different companies. This is NOT coming from us or our team.

HOW THE SCAM WORKS AND WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR:

Here’s a typical scam scenario:

  1. Initial Contact: You receive a message from a scammer claiming to be a recruiter from VM Agency. They might say something like, "HEY, IT'S ANNA FROM VM AGENCY" and direct you to study our website, viewmaniac.com, to get familiar with our services.

  2. Fake Website: After that, they send you to a fraudulent website that mimics ours. Remember, we only have one website: www.viewmaniac.com. We never use any other domain name.

They make you login to something that looks like this:

  3. WhatsApp Communication: They claim to communicate via WhatsApp, which we never do. The scammers' messages might look like this:

“Hi, my name is Anna and I am a recruiter at VM Agency. We need a team of part-time assistants. The online hours are flexible and you can work from home with no restrictions. Pay ranges from at least $200 to $1,280 per day. All you need is a smartphone or computer to get the job done. You will be paid immediately at the end of each workday. Work 7 days a week. If you are interested, please contact me on WhatsApp +1 (213) 708-6578.”

KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER:

  • We Never Email from a Different Domain: If you receive an email from any domain other than @viewmaniac.com, it is not from us.
  • We Do Not Use WhatsApp for Communication: Any job offer or communication through WhatsApp is a red flag.
  • We Do Not Hire Through Job Websites: We have never posted job offers on platforms like Indeed.com or similar sites.

FAKE WEBSITES TO AVOID:

Here are some of the fake websites the scammers are using:

  • viewmaniaclcan.com
  • viewmaniacseo.com

These sites are designed to look like ours but are not affiliated with us in any way. They may ask you to log in and perform tasks, pretending you will earn money, only to steal your money later.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO:

  • Be Cautious: If you receive any suspicious communication, do not engage. Avoid sharing personal or financial information.
  • Report the Scam: Contact your local authorities if you believe you have been targeted. We have filed a case with the FBI's internet division, and the individuals involved are being monitored.
  • Verify Authenticity: Always ensure that any communication claiming to be from VM Agency comes from our official channels.

We urge you to stay vigilant and protect yourself from these scammers.

VM Agency or viewmaniac.com is not involved in these fraudulent activities, and we deeply regret any distress this may have caused.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

If you have any information that could assist in building the case against these perpetrators, please email us at contact@viewmaniac.com. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

The VM Agency Team
